Dear Friends,

What’s the Justice Gap? And how can you help The Legal Project build a bridge?

Picture yourself standing at the edge of a deep, fast-moving stream. It’s critically important you get across. How far can you jump without falling and being swept away downstream? Two feet? Four feet? Could you jump five feet across the stream, without falling into the icy water? Or is the other side just out of reach?

Many of our neighbors who struggle financially, living paycheck to paycheck, face a justice gap. They can’t fully access the protections of the law because they can’t afford an attorney. Justice remains just out of reach, or worse, is swept away when they go to court alone, unrepresented, and not understanding their rights.
The Legal Project is here to help. By providing free legal advice, clinic programs, and legal representation

we bridge the gap for victims of domestic violence, homeowners in foreclosure, crime victims, veterans, the elderly, immigrants, and others who can’t afford private attorneys.

Please consider making a donation to support The Legal Project! You can help us build bridges leading to justice for our neighbors right here in the Capital Region.

From all of us at The Legal Project, we wish you a very happy holiday season, and a Happy New Year filled with good health, prosperity, and of course, justice.

Sincerely,
Michele Pollock Rich
